THE FORBIDDEN FRUIT SHOREDITCH

Food of War delved into the concept of the forbidden fruit, exploring it from various angles through a diverse ensemble of artists, including Ricardo Cinalli, Omar Castaneda, Harriet Poznansky, Hernan Barros, and Saskia Craft-Stanly, in collaboration with Gastronomist Fernando Penuela.

The Forbidden Fruit is conceptually the original food of war, historically used for control and manipulation. It represents a myth deeply intertwined with notions of power and population control, a myth that has been reinterpreted across many cultures.

The collective brought this exploration to life in the heart of Shoreditch, London (Bedford House and its surroundings), utilising a range of mediums including performance, immersive gastronomy, augmented reality, installations, sculptures, and music.
