THE ORANGE CRAZE

In recent years, Cuba has experienced a significant decline in citrus cultivation, leading to a noticeable shortage of oranges and grapefruits. This decrease in production has impacted both local consumption and export opportunities, creating challenges for the agricultural sector. The scarcity of these fruits has also affected the availability of fresh produce for Cuban households, highlighting the need for revitalizing citrus farming practices to meet the demand and support the economy.

Food of War's iconic rabbits perform a dance of idolatry, elevating the orange to the status of a deity. Through their graceful movements and ritualistic choreography, they depict the orange as a symbol of reverence and abundance. This artistic expression not only highlights the cultural significance of the fruit but also underscores the challenges faced due to its scarcity in Cuba. The dance becomes a powerful metaphor for the longing and respect for the orange, transforming it into an object of worship and admiration.
