Quintina Valero's involvement in "Peace at the Tables?" extended beyond her captivating journey through the Amazon jungle and the compelling series of photographs it inspired. Upon returning to Bogotá, she spearheaded a collective effort to engage with the marginalized community residing in the Santa Fe neighborhood. Leveraging the support of the MAC, one of Latin America's most inclusive museums, Food of War orchestrated a transformative experience for the homeless population.
Under Quintina's guidance, the collective organized a private guided tour of the museum's exhibition, providing a unique opportunity for individuals often overlooked by society to immerse themselves in art and culture. Additionally, a workshop facilitated meaningful interaction and expression, empowering participants to share their stories and perspectives. Through these initiatives, Food of War illuminated the humanity and dignity of those typically marginalized, fostering visibility and recognition in a world where they are all too often ignored.
