Food of War and Wine Advisor Lucas Rodd join forces to bring to life the first tasting of its kind: a premium wine tasting that exclusively features rare wines sourced from war zones. In the face of extreme adversity, the producers behind these special wines make a powerful statement about resilience, culture and identity.


Together, we’ll explore five extraordinary wines (one white, two orange, two reds) from Ukraine, Syria and Lebanon, each paired with bites from their countries of origin. The five wines will be accompanied by art installations by Food of War reflecting the realities and hopes of those experiencing war in these lands.


Grapes featured include:


Indigenous white Lebanese grapes Obeidi and Merweh from 150-year-old vines


An orange Rkatsiteli made in amphora and a red Odesa Black from the Black Sea coast of Ukraine


A Cabernet Sauvignon / Syrah blend from the highlands above Latakia, Syria
